At this moment, on this planet, there is a great imbalance. There is much suffering on Earth. It doesn't matter how it happened or who is responsible. What matters is that we all work to help create a better place for all of humanity. My name is Ben Hartson and this is part of the work that I have choosen. This is where my heart has led - the streets of Peru, and specifically Cuzco. There are currently 6,000 street children in this city. I think that is 6,000 too many so I have started this blog to help raise money for a local non-profit organization called The House of the People of the Sun. I am also trying to raise money to take a group of people to Peru to directly work with this organization. The plan is vague right now, but this is not a mission trip, where I would come back after a few months. I want to stay there for however long it takes to really turn the situation around. This is the chance of a lifetime, an opportunity to give,to make a difference, to really discover Love.
Remember that change is not just about the action that on the surface appears to bring about something new. The action in and of itself may inspire and may appear to bring about change, but true transformation comes not just from the action outwardly perceived, but from the awareness with which this action is executed. Actions in and of themselves can be empty, and sometimes they are in fact empty. But if an action is guided by complete awareness, a higher consciousness, if this action is executed with Love, with Truth guiding and flowing through the doer of this action, the transformation is many times greater and effects all of existence, all of life on multiple levels. The doer will be transformed, and all those around the doer will be affected, changed, transformed.
